Tried to make this one a bit more personable, with some good clients and old friends in most of the shots. If you’re a meat eater, that Florentine steak is your Everest. Ever give blowing glass a try?

Took some stills I liked and made a quick slide show that I think nicely captures the feel of exploring Italy’s romance and charms and mystery with Doug. Hope you enjoy! It’s mostly Venice with a little Florence and Rome mixed in for good measure.
Doug stopped while taking a small private group through Florence to snap this quick video of the piazza in front of the Dominican beauty that is Santa Maria Novella. One of the best parts of seeing Italy’s wonders in person: how the old is preserved but blended seamlessly with the new. There are no aluminum siding building, no tacky billboards, just people going about their daily business next to the 600 year old facade and keeping the modern and the classic in harmony without missing a beat.
Doug leading a tour around a street market in Firenze. I think Tony Bourdain nailed it: more Americans would eat vegetables if our produce was more commonly of the quality you can get from street vendors in Italy.
Respect for doing things the old way is a good thing sometimes. Especially when it comes to what you eat.
