“Why aren’t we in Venice?”

–Reporter asking a great question.

Snow Melt

Reward after a long hike, sore muscles, sore feet, and tired lungs? Seeing the melting snow result in this magical little spot. Calming.

Those out of the way places, finding them makes life so much more livable.

It’s Not The Dolomites, But…

…the view of Colorado Springs from the hills under Pikes Peak on the Intemann Trail is great. You can’t see Pikes behind the clouds right before the video ends, but you can see what’s so magical about the area and why people settled here long ago–blue skies and rain and clouds all in the same panorama, and dry brush growing from red rocks. It’s quiet here and I look forward to hiking it again.

Need to keep getting in shape for that Dolomites tour.

Driving Fast In Italy

If you haven’t seen this episode of Top Gear, you should. The Gallardo is magical. The roads in Italy aren’t nearly as bumpy as James May would have you think (at least not in my experience). The drive to Switzerland from Italy? Heaven on earth.

If you’d like a driving tour of the Lake Region and the mountains, it’s certainly something we can arrange (the Gallardo will make it a bit costly however). Want to add some culture to your Italian driving experience? A couple nights in Como and Sirmione to relax? Right in our core expertise.

We can also do biking and motorcycling tours in Italy as well (inquire via our website or email).

Street Entertainment in Rome

Doug Sassi captured this impromptu street performer working for tips outside a cafe in Roma where the small tour group was catching a quick lunch. Pretty funny stuff.

Well…maybe if you walk down that street daily you don’t find his Harpo Marx routine all that entertaining, but I’ve seen this guy’s videos…he finds preoccupied people and spoofs the heck out of their haughtiness.

The flavor of Rome!

The Sounds of the Baptistry

The Sounds of the Baptistry

Pisa.

Listening to this never gets old. It’s an easy excursion from Florence to go, it’s a shame so many people skip it.
